Fairness, Inclusion and Respect (FIR) in the FM industry.

The UK government has a pipeline of construction and infrastructure works worth at least £118bn until 2020, and there are further significant private sector works planned, including building new homes.

As heavily mentioned in the press recently, there is an acute shortage of skilled workers available in FM and construction alike, at all tiers of industry supply chains. As a result, we need to make our industry a more attractive place to work, so that we can attract, train and retain the talent we need to deliver this pipeline of works.

One way that we can do this is by cultivating a culture of Fairness, Inclusion and Respect (FIR) in our offices and on our sites.

VINCI Facilities are working with FM clients and contractors, and the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to explain:

-What FIR means
-Why it matters
-How to achieve it
-Encourage use of our FIR Toolkit

VINCI Facilities are hosting a workshop to discuss this, and are very keen to have people who have influence to improve their site behaviours and attitudes attend.

If you have any questions or special requirements for attending this event (e.g. access, dietary), please contact rosie@supplychainschool.co.uk or telephone the office on 020 7697 1977 so that we can accommodate you.
