Responsible Sourcing

There is increasing pressure on main contractors to ensure that they are buying products/materials from sustainable sources, and the supply chain need to understand how to meet this challenge.

The UK Contractors Group (UKCG) have made this clear in their statement on the procurement of materials which commits UKCG members to “support and give preference to procuring products which are able to demonstrate compliance with a recognised responsible sourcing scheme, certified by a third party".

Key objectives of this workshop:

  1. Understanding about what Responsible Sourcing means and why this is important to clients
  2. The opportunity to hear directly from clients the about what Responsible Sourcing means to them, and what they expect from their supply chain
  3. The chance to develop a responsible sourcing action plan for their business
Find out about the available schemes / standards recognised by main contractors (including BES6001)
  4. The knowledge to be better placed to meet client requirements

If you have any special requirements for attending this event (e.g. access, dietary), please telephone 020 7697 1977 or contact andrew.wilson@supplychainschool.co.uk so that we can accommodate you.
