Briggs & Forrester Group

Website

The Briggs & Forrester Group consists of four businesses: Engineering Services, Living, Special Projects and Building Services Maintenance.

We provide a range of specialist skills encompassing engineering, design, installation, and maintenance. The combined experience, knowledge and expertise of all divisions enables the group to develop and implement fully integrated solutions for some of the most complex and demanding mechanical, electrical and public health engineering installations.

The business was formed in Northampton in 1947 and has expanded across the UK. Our annual turnover is now more than £230 million, with over 900 employees and over 15 accreditations and certifications across our business.

We believe that our people are our greatest asset and in 2020 the business reached its goal to become employee-owned company with the formation of an Employee Ownership Trust.

Sustainability and Supply Chain

Our vision is to secure the future of our planet, for the sake of our business and its people, by becoming the leader in sustainability within the M&E sector. We want to create a net zero future and leave a positive impact on our planet and society, based on our excellence at every level ethos and creating strong, professional relationships.

Our Sustainability Strategy includes six key ambitions under our themes of Our Business, Our Society and Our Product:

  1. Net Zero across our business.
  2. Net zero across our supply chain.
  3. Deliver meaningful social value in our communities.
  4. Enable successful career paths for everyone.
  5. Invest in the development and wellbeing of our people.
  6. Lower the environmental impacts of our products.

Only by working collaboratively with our supply chain partners can we effectively meet our sustainability goals.

Why a Partner?

Our supply chain partners are a key part of our business and its ongoing success. By becoming a Partner, we can support our suppliers and subcontractors on their sustainability journey by enhancing their access to, and uptake of, cost free, expertly produced and construction specific sustainability training materials.

In becoming a Partner, we will also have the opportunity to work in collaboration with others within the industry on key sustainability issues through participation in multiple School leadership groups.
