Leading our world class collaboration
The School is governed by a board of elected Partner representatives with Shaun McCarthy OBE as the independent chair. The Board is responsible for the fiscal governance and strategic direction of the School. When required, the Board will consult expert advisors on matters such as training, media and communications and legal services.
The Board is accountable to the Partners through its Annual General Meeting and follows a business plan governing document. The School’s delivery partner Action Sustainability prepares the business plan annually, in consultation with the Board and then it is approved at the Annual General Meeting every May.
The School is a legally binding partnership but not a legal entity.
Our Partners sign a constitution setting out the principles and practices of the School. This includes schedules outlining Partner commitments and rights, according to the type of Partnership agreed. Partners participate in the day-to-day development and management of the School through our Leadership Groups.
