Siemens Energy

At Siemens Energy, our mission is to empower our customers to meet the growing global demand for energy while transitioning to a more sustainable world

Our innovative technologies, extensive energy experience and an ambitious strategy to decarbonize global energy systems are all central to our efforts to be the partner and driver of the energy transition. And our top focus areas in ESG, innovation and transformation share how we’re making the future of tomorrow different today, for both our partners—and our people.

Our tradition dates back 150 years. In 1866, Werner von Siemens converted mechanical energy into electrical energy making it applicable to everyday life. He exerted the kind of courage, drive, and determination we need today. As an independent company, Siemens Energy opens a new chapter in the Siemens history of energy technology. We will keep the best of our legacy while pushing the boundaries of what is possible. That is how we shape the energy of tomorrow.

Sustainability and the Supply Chain

Responsible sourcing requires sound supply chain management with due respect for sustainability. We work in partnership with our global suppliers to live up to international standards for responsible supply chains.

• The integration of sustainability considerations aims to make supply chains more resilient and reliable
• Risk awareness and strategic measures are cornerstones of our supplier management
• Systematic audits foster compliance with increasing international regulation

For Siemens Energy, we set an ambitious target of reducing our relative Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, as well as transportation and distribution, by 30% per procurement volume unit (€ spent) until 2030 based on fiscal year 2018.

Why a Partner?

Partnership with the Supply Chain Sustainability School will support our UK Decarbonisation Programme, by helping us to meet our Scope 3 (Upstream) GHG emission target through opportunities for learning on sustainability topics both in our own teams and in the supply chain. In addition, becoming a Partner of the Supply Chain Sustainability School provides opportunity for Collaboration with peers through themed focus groups.
