Pilot programme

Improving performance in a framework for modular buildings

This was the pilot programme that preceded 10 further programmes to demonstrate improvements in projects through supply chain collaboration.

We facilitated five workshops to understand the “pain points” in the buyer/supplier relationships and as a result we have delivered training on public procurement rules, alternative methods of contracting such as two stage open book and a programme to improve knowledge of modular building techniques among client organisations.

This CITB funded programme has been developed in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), Kings College London (KCL) and the Institute for Collaborative Working (ICW). It is also aligned with other CITB funded programmes from CECA and Nottingham Trent University.
