Working with Beavers
Beavers can provide many benefits, including restoration of natural processes, habitat restoration, biodiversity, climate resilience, natural flood management and water quality improvements. They can also sometimes pose risks to areas of our work, in certain circumstances, such as our assets, capital schemes, maintenance works, fish passage.
Why is this information relevant to me and my work?
It is important that all our colleagues understand the legislation, benefits and challenges associated with beaver behaviour to enable us to plan ahead, adapt our ways of working, and seek support if needed.
