Sustainability & Supply Chain
MWH Treatment’s vision is to be the leading sustainable solution provider in the UK Water Industry. As a responsible business our work makes a positive difference to the environment, our clients, their customers and the communities we serve and live in. We live our values through our people and we are also signatories of the SCSS ‘People Matter Charter’.
Our Responsible Business approach is based upon 6 pillars:
- Health, Safety and Wellbeing
- Business Processes and Quality
- Inclusion and Ethical Practices
- Net Zero Carbon
We have a strong reputation in maintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality management and expect the same of our supply chain.
From 2015 to 2019 we exceeded our carbon reduction target by reducing our carbon emissions intensity (per £million turnover) by 35% and reducing our total emissions by 41%. In 2020 we set an operational Net Zero carbon target by 2030.
Why a Partner?
Collaborating and engaging with our suppliers and subcontractors is a key part of our operations. For 2022 we have become a partner to the Supply Chain Sustainability School to assist us and our supply chain, in providing sustainability self-assessments, workshops, e-learning modules and a carbon calculator tool. This aligns with our company values, our Responsible Business approach, assisting in our Net Zero ambition and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.
