Linc Cymru

Website

Linc Cymru is a Housing Association and Care provider. It’s what we do but is only the beginning of our story.

At Linc, we believe in creating the right environment for people to flourish.

The homes we build and the natural environments that support them contribute to improving people’s quality of life, and as a care provider we work with Local Authorities and the NHS to address the needs of our ageing population. We are a socially responsible business focused on building a prosperous and healthier Wales, a great place to live and work, now and in the future. We manage over five thousand affordable (social) housing properties, thirty five independent living schemes, and three registered nursing homes.

Sustainability and Supply Chain

We want to make a positive impact on the quality of the lives of our colleagues and customers and make a real difference in the communities where we build and manage our homes and to the natural environment that supports those communities.

Our Optimised Retrofit Programme (ORP) is a key part of our housing decarbonisation objectives and delivers an umbrella of environmental initiatives on existing homes which address the climate crisis. This is a programme which is jointly funded by the Welsh Government’s Optimised Retrofit Programme (ORP) and Transitional Accommodation Capital Programme (TACP) and Linc.

All new build homes delivered with the support of Welsh Government Social Housing Grant (SHG) must meet the highest energy efficiency standards (EPC A) and Linc makes a significant contribution to this programme each year with its delivery of new build and refurbished homes. Both of these programmes support us in meeting the targets set by Welsh Government for all social housing to be net zero by 2030. We are fully committed to providing our customers with great quality, carbon net zero homes.

Social Value forms an integral part of our business activity in new build development and asset management. We want to work with partners to maximise the positive impacts of our activities on the communities in which we work.

Why a Partner?

We relish the opportunity to influence the sustainability and supply chain agenda and to extend the SCSS network in Wales. Our partnership with the Supply Chain School enables us to upskill our workforce and supply chain through top quality resources, learning , insight and collaboration.
